KS: Good point. So the actual rate would likely be higher if the threshold for the pain was lowered?

Divorce: Are 'Worldly' People More Ethical?
by metatron indivorce is not, by nature, something pleasant or 'nice' in general.
that said, i do wonder if there is a trend in the world that transcends the "truth".. i can hardly read anything biographical these days without encountering someone who has gone thru an amicable divorce - at least, amicable in the outcome, anyway.
they may 'still be friends' and simply come to see it as another step in their personal evolution.

Best diet for a Diabetic.
by Quarterback indr just told me that i inherited this health problem.
.
has anyone had any success in winning over this desease?.

Start with not going to any meetings. The stress induced often leads to poor eating habits that are at the root of diabetes, especially adult onset. Obestity is a hugh factor and since not going to meetings I have dropped 10kg - primarily because I no longer have the stress in my life that I pacified with overeating.

Strollers at DC
by InquiryMan inif i understand it correctly, strollers are not allowed at us conventions.. in sweden, a letter was written to the congregation, introducing this new rule.
however, quite a few families wrote letters to the society,.
asking if they wanted families with children to attend the assemblies or not... it was stated that they would not go unless strollers were allowed.. the society pulled back, allowing strollers in designated areas.. in norway, they didn t even bother to introduce the rule in the first place... .

Strollers are generally not allowed anywhere in arenas or auditoriums proper. It is generally a violation against prevailing fire codes as they can impeded the exit path. IN DC's here in Canada there are designated stroller areas, often on the arena floor whaere it is easy to exit in an emergency. To ban them outright is wrong. I figure some 50/60 something DC coordinator who decidied not to have family in 1975 makes a sweeping genralization without any scriptural backing.

I believe the divorce rate amongst dubs is no more or less that that of the rest of the world in general. being a dub is no protection, hence the recent inane drama at the DC. Use the downtrodden women to force them to keep their marriages together.
Recently, my doctor who retired stated that amongst his dub patients there were more that were having some form of marital problems than those of other religions. The one he felt had it most together - the Jews.

Such hypocrisy in this religion (no better than the others) that the Williams sisters get away with this. While GB produce such inane animations to scare little kids sh**less they do nothing with the likes of the Williams sisters. Google images of her and there are none in her FS outfit but plenty of her showing as much flesh as possible. I have nothing against those who proclaim to be religious, unless they are practicing hypocrites - the Williams family and Mama Jackson all fit into that category. I am sure that Jehovah blessed her short balls so she could win....

Important Clarification Regarding Candace Conti Case
by headisspinning ina document has been circulated that suggested that candace conti was only seeking one penny fer 144,000 members of the annointed.
please note the clarification below.
we all have to be very careful about sharing misinformation since this can be very damaging to our efforts and 'opposers' will latch onto these 'errors' and claim we are lying.... new update from candace about the document on her requesting a penny per 144,000. she said the actual documents were legal documents that were put together to create the other document making these claims.

Eric Sykes has died, one of the unrecognised comedy greats.
by Phizzy inthis thread is for those on the uk side of the pond, i guess our friends in the u.s would not have been exposed to the comedy genius of eric.. i say "unrecognised" in the thread title with recognition that many many people here in the u.k had great affection for eric and did appreciate his prodigious talent, but i still feel it would have been good if he had received even more in the of the way of approbation and appreciation in his lifetime.. r.i.p eric, you were one of a kind..

My sense of humour (very British, very black...) was moulded in my preteen years due to a great show called "Sykes and A..." Eric and Hattie (Jaques) were an incredible team (played brother and sister...a smart move) backed with some great writing from Eric. He goes to his grave knowing he is truly one of the fathers of modern British comedy. His style spawned a number of other greats such as the Pythons and Ricky Gervais. He will be missed, but we have his legacy....
